Tank Patch

Temporary fuel tank patch on a vintage Mustang?

I've just noticed that my '69 Mustang 302 has developed a leak in the fuel tank. It's right in the middle, so I suspect it was rusted out. The tank has undercoating which (I think) is compounding the problem. Most of the body is in decent shape, but I haven't driven it much in the last few years. I imagine there's some varnished gas in there, but not much.

Is there a way to patch the tank temporarily just to keep my garage floor free of kitty litter until I can replace the tank? Thanks in advance.

Yeah, they have some repair kits available at part stores.
